Step 2: Click on the blue icon “Create an account” button located at the center and at the top right corner of the page. You will be redirected to the Gmail signup page as shown in the image below.
- Enter your ‘First name‘ on the blank text field under the “First name” text field.
- Enter your ‘Last name‘ on the blank text of the “Last name” text field.
- Choose your desired ‘Username‘ for your Gmail account on the Username text field. Try to use letters, numbers and periods to increase chances of availability of username.
- Enter the “Password” on the Password text field. Again retype your password next to it on the “Confirm” text field. Note: Use 8 or more characters mixing letters, numbers, and symbols to make your password unique.
Step 3: Click on the blue icon “Next” to continue to the next step of the Gmail Signup process. The next page will be redirected as soon as you click on the “Next” button as shown in the image below.
Tips– Note down your Username and Password on the diary to avoid the loss of your account.
- Enter your valid phone number/mobile number on the first blank text field. Enter your recovery email address if you have any. You can skip if you don’t have any alternative email.
- Enter your birth month, day and year on the “Month”, “Day” and Year respectively on the drop-down menu.
- Select your gender on the “Gender” drop-down menu.
Step 4: Click on the blue “Next” icon to continue to the next step of the sign-up process. You will be redirected to the next page as shown in the image below
Step 5: On the next step of creating a Gmail account, you have to “Verify your phone number”. Please enter a valid number to avoid issues while creating a Gmail account.
Step 6: Click on the “Send” blue button to send the Google verification code on your mobile device. A 6 digit verification code will be sent to your mobile devices.
You can click or select “Not now” if you do not have access to mobile devices.
You can also go “Back” to edit your profile and contact details.
Step 7: A new page will be redirected as shown in the image below. Enter the 6 digit verification code sent to your mobile devices on the blank text field.
If you did not get any message, click on the “Call Instead” button. Within a few minutes, you will get a phone call from Google. Receive the call, now note down the verification code in the blank text field.
Step 8: Click on the “Next” button after finishing filling the form.
Finally, you will be redirected to the page as shown in the image below.
Step 9: Click on the “Yes I’m In” button if you want to receive notifications from Gmail. Else, click on the “Skip” button.
You’ll be redirected to Gmails “Privacy and Terms” page. This page describes the “Privacy and Terms” in detail. Read until the very end or Scroll down to the button to continue creating a Gmail account.
Step 10: You will find the “I Agree” button after scrolling down to the button of the page. Click on it to continue creating a Gmail account.
Finally, you will be redirected to the homepage of your account profile as shown in the image below. A message from Gmail welcoming you will pop out.
Step 11: Click on the “Next” button to continue.

A. Recovering Gmail Password Using Phone Number
1. Open your preferred web browser and type www.gmail.com and press the “Enter” key. You will be redirected to the homepage of Gmail.
2. Enter your “email address” on the first blank field as shown in the image below. Click on the “Next” button after filling the Gmail form.
3. Now click on the “Forget password” link at the bottom of the sign-in form.
4. Enter the last password you remember. In case you don’t know click on the “Try another way” button.
5. Another page will appear. Enter your registered phone number and click on the “Send” button.
You’ll soon receive a text SMS with a verification code.
6. Enter the code sent via text on the empty text field. Click on the “Next” button to continue.
7. You will be redirected to the next page as shown in the image below. Now enter a new password on the first blank text field. Again, re-type your password on the 2nd blank text field.
Click on the “Next” button after finishing entering your password.

6. Another page will appear asking you to create a new password.
- Type your preferred password of 8 or more characters in the first text field.
- Retype your new password on the second blank text field.
